Q. What are the common terms used to describe this process?

Strand: A bonded unit with 25 -30 pieces of hair

Gel Tip: Material used to hold strands to clients own hair

Special Order: Hair purchased to match all the colors in a clients own hair that is to be blended and applied.

Mono Strands: Hair ordered pre tipped in a single color.

Hair Type: Russian Virgin hair. This hair is considered the Gold standard among Extension Artists who know the difference. Reason #1 none or very little processing. #2 Natural colors without toning. #3 excellent condition and cuticle matches tip to end

Indian temple hair: dark brown processed down to allow for different colors. Usually has some cuticle trauma.

Q: How much does this process cost?

It all starts with us knowing what exactly the final product is going to be and look like.
Here is a chart on the different costs of my applications:

Example client: Average number of strands on one person is 150 pieces, she wants a lengthened 16" hair mono tone indian hair at 10 dollars a strand. TOTAL COST: 150 x 10 = $1500

Example client thickening: average thickening is half the strands of length so 75 pieces. The client wants 12" russian 3 color blended at $16 a strand. TOTAL COST: 75 x 16 = $1200

So as you can see, everything depends on the consultation and the time spent before the application process to discuss and go over YOUR natural hair so it looks as beautiful as I can see it.

Q: What method do you use?

I use Fusion Bonding Techniques. It’s the only way I've found that works with my custom blending 4ST method. Fusion bonding is a gel tipped bundle of around 20 hairs each that I can insert into your hair, and than when properly removed gives you all the great looks of hair extensions without any damage to the hair.

Q: How long does it usually take?

It depends on what the client, you, wants. If you're looking for long hair than expect to have them done in 90 minutes. If you want a thickening however it can be done in 30 minutes.

Q: What is the difference between Buddy Sharp's 4ST process and what everyone else is doing?

My 4ST consultation, application, and removal techniques ensure that every client will have custom built hair extensions that look as natural as their own hair, with no damage to the clients hair. Each strand is meticulously blended with each color that’s in your own hair. This will give an extremely natural look that anyone will be hard pressed to detect the extension application.
